Mark and Coach Scotty

Dear Parentmark scotty

Hello! This is Coach Scotty. :) I want to introduce you to my former full-time tennis academy student, Mark!

To give you an idea of what it would be like for your junior tennis player teen to come train with us... read on!

I am a devoted, long-term coach. I care. I care very much about the health, saefty, and futures of my athletes.

Mark is the USA medical doctor in the photo to the right. The lower photo is also Mark at 15 years of age. Mark and I were enjoying ice cream with my tennis academy students at a famous professional tennis tournament in USA.

Mark is from Mexico. He came to my international tennis academy as a 15 year old beginner tennis player.

Mark's parents were busy Christian missionaries in Mexico. His mother was worried about Mark living in Mexico because Mark was beginning to learn bad habits from his friends. Mom was worried about Mark's future.

Mom believed that Mark coming to my tennis academy fulltime could be positive for Mark's life and future.

I met them both at my awesome exhibitor's booth at the world's 5th largest pro tennis event, THE SONY OPEN, where my missions team (my tennis academy students) gave away 1000s of Christian books, Bibles, stickers, tracks, etc to the over 250,000 fans worldwide in attendance.

After meeting Mark I agreed to accept Mark into my full-time tennis academy. The kid had great potential and he had good parents. I believed we would all have potential to be a very good team.

I'd like to share with you Mark's journey from being a shy 15 year old beginner-ish tennis player from Mexico to becoming a Medical Doctor in the USA who will be able to earn $600,000US, yearly.

Mark attended a USA university on a tennis scholarship. Mark was then accepted into the USA's largest medical school. Mark now works at the #1 hospital in America.

How did this happen? How did I develop all aspects of Mark's life to have such incredible success? I will explain.

Mark arrived at my international tennis academy in Florida with very little tennis experience, good English skills, and an average education from Mexico.

In the beginning the main goal I made for Mark was for Mark to improve his tennis skills enough to earn a tennis scholarship at a fantastic USA university.

The university tennis scholarship would pay for Mark's entire education at the university. The university's tuition, books, housing, food, etc... all paid for 100% by Mark playing tennis for the university tennis team. This would be the main goal. Mark and parents agreed.

I focused on developing Mark's leadership skills, ability to handle pressure, decision making, confidence, integrity, problem solving, teamwork, accountability.

This kid struggled greatly handling pressure. So, I slowly and constantly applied pressure in order to develop a confident platform for developing his future leadership skills.

Mark followed an online Christian education for his High School education. He studied at my kitchen table. Mark is smart. He became a problem solver and needed little motivation to study. I was basically Mark's teacher for his entire High School education, but this kid was an auto-pilot.

Mark also learned world class tennis training in my tennis program. He competed in United States Tennis Association junior tennis tournaments. I built his body into a national class athlete. Mark was smart and athletic.

Mark became one of the highest ranked junior tennis players in Florida.

I sent Mark to awesome places in South America and in the Middle East. His trip to Israel was a highlight of his travels.

As Mark improved I created a BIG new goal for Mark.

My best friend was medical doctor. I believed Mark had become focused, mentally strong, and smart enough to become a medical doctor. Mark and his parents agreed.

I was willing to make this happen for Mark and his family, and I'd worked hard during the worst global economy in modern history (2008-2012) to keep Mark on his huge scholarship and to keep my tennis academy in business.

After training in my international tennis academy fulltime for his High School years, I helped Mark receive the huge tennis scholarship at a famous university in Florida. These tennis scholarships can be worth $150,000US. This tennis scholarship paid for Mark's university education.

  • Mark became the Captain of the university's men's tennis team.
  • Mark was chosen from all the university's athletes to be inducted into the university's sports Hall of Fame.
  • Mark won the NCCAA national sportsmanship award.
  • Mark's grade point average at graduation was a 3.9 GPA.
  • Mark was accepted into Indiana School of Medicine, the largest medical school in USA.
  • Mark graduated medical school in May 2019.

Mark is now working at the #1 ranked hospital in USA.. Mayo Hospital. The Mayo hospital is near my horse ranch & international tennis academy in Florida.

Mark's success is an example of why I have a great passion to own an international tennis academy, and why I personally invest my life into my students. I build champions on and off the tennis court.

My tennis academy is a discipleship ministry where God let's me participate in His big plans for my students' amazing life stories! I am in my 20th year owning a tennis academy and 34th year coaching.

Junior and pro tennis players from 18 USA states and 35 nations have come to me for fulltime training and have become part of my family.

My horse ranch is an incredible place for athletes to lodge while attending school or training fulltime or both. The focus is on becoming people of integrity and character.

I've coached players from every major religion. They all love me and love my style of coaching. They respect my faith in Jesus, and they've all enjoyed attending church with us. I coach athletes, not just Christian athletes. I coach to build pro tennis players and collegiate tennis players.

22 of my players have reached #1 nationally in their age groups. I've put my players on full scholarships at every level of university in America. I mentor young coaches. I mentor university coaches. My former players have competed in every Major... Wimbledon, US Open, Aussie Open, French Open. They have travelled over 2,000,000 miles worldwide.

My experience is rare and I apply it towards helping these kids reach their dreams and goals.

It has been 8.5 years since Mark lived with my family, as family, while I coached him fulltime.

Mark and I are still family. We stay in contact. Ana and I will be attending his wedding this year.

Mark was just a shy 15 year old boy from Mexico who had a Mom that was very worried about him going the wrong way in life.

Then God sent Mark to me and a powerful platform was built for him to reach his real potential in life.
